Welcome to my Creative Writing Distance Learning Course – designed to help children aged 7-11 grow their writing skills, spark their imagination, and enjoy every moment of the journey! It's perfect for 11+ preparation, but also for enthusiastic and reluctant writers, and those who simply want to enjoy creative writing.
Each lesson is carefully crafted to focus on a specific writing technique so your child makes targeted, noticeable progress in their writing. From mastering “show, don’t tell” to crafting dialogue that brings characters to life, examples of what your child will learn include:

Each lesson includes an imaginative prompt to get your child writing right away – whether it’s a pirate story, dragon description, time-slip adventure, or a recipe for a magical potion!
Personal feedback for real growth
Children submit their writing via Google Classroom for personal written feedback and guidance from an experienced teacher (and former copywriter, editor, and publisher). I provide supportive, actionable suggestions to help them improve – plus, spelling, punctuation, and grammar tips to polish their work to perfection.
Hooked on reading as well as writing
Some lessons are inspired by high-quality children’s fiction, sparking a love of reading that fuels even better writing.
Flexible learning at their own pace
Buy a block of lessons – 5 for £65 or 10 for £100 – and let your child progress at their own speed. Although weekly writing tasks are the best way to keep momentum, my approach gives you the flexibility to work around busy schedules.
