Summer camp - week 1!

In the first week of my new 'educational summer camp' we have...made bean burgers, crafted origami butterflies, created woollen bees to use in a science experiment, played team games, puzzles, read a LOT of books in the tent, made paper mache planets, written letters from space, had a solar system treasure hunt, played 'toss the meteorite', shared space stories, created collages and puppets with illustrator Katie Everett, written a magazine, played giant jenga, table tennis, sword tag and skipping! Plus English and maths quizzes and 11+ prep for some... We have also journeyed under the sea with water science experiments, sea creatures suncatcher crafting and children made their own board games with an underwater theme, learned and performed a dance, practised handwriting, reading and maths and enjoyed basketball, football and badminton. In STEM day there was hedgehog bread baking, yeast experiments and learning, earthquake-proof tower building and a technology challenge (to create a phone stand). PLUS! Sports day races, shark attack games, ball skills, friendship circles and magic tricks! 

Still to come in week 2...unicorn biscuit baking, dragon eye clay craft, card games, robot hand-making, Minecraft selfie art, robot coordinates, bookmark sewing, skittle-making and bowling, life-size portrait painting, monster cookie baking, monster sewing, junk modelling, rainbow cake baking and a giant collaborative art piece! As well as all our outdoor sports, English and maths, puzzles and games.
