The hardest part is letting go...especially a student who I first taught in Y1 when she spoke only Russian and is now in Y8 with English skills of a Y10 student. Such an impressive commitment to learning and an exciting future ahead. For the last year and a half, she has received 4 hours of English tuition from me per week and I couldn't be more proud of what she has achieved.

Her dad subsequently emailed to add: "I would like to thank you once again for your work with C. She made great progress in writing (and careful reading) during this year-and-a-half, and also had a chance to discuss a variety of interesting subjects in literary English. In addition, your lessons were an island of stability for Chiara amid all the turbulent events (particularly, when we just came here and she found herself in a completely new environment)."
